Immersive Learning Studies

August 08 2023

At UP360, our foundation is built upon the principles of science. We firmly believe that for the advancement of teaching and learning, methodologies and approaches must be firmly rooted in empirical evidence. Our assertions regarding the effectiveness of our initiatives are not conjectures; rather, they are substantiated by robust data-driven analysis.

Global educational institutions have actively participated in unraveling the intricacies of human learning. In collaboration with our industry associates, we have even co-authored research papers that delve into these realms. We actively encourage not only our internal team but also extend this encouragement to our valued clients and partners. It is our shared objective to comprehend these research findings and explore their potential applicability to the challenges we collectively encounter.

Immersive learning is a learning method which students being immersed into a virtual dialogue, the feeling of presence is used as an evidence of getting immersed. The virtual dialogue can be created by two ways, the usage of virtual technics, and the narrative like reading a book. The motivations of using virtual reality (VR) for teaching contain: learning efficiency, time problems, physical inaccessibility, limits due to a dangerous situation and ethical problems. While the results while vary for each use case, here is what we do know. Well-made virtual reality immersive learning experiences consistently lead to the following results:

  1. Lowering the cost of training to achieve the same or better results than traditional training methods.
  2. Increase rate of information retention
  3. Higher engagement rates
  4. Less workplace accidents
  5. Increased in job confidence

We are constantly staying up-to-date in the world of immersive learning. Here are some resources we have found that provide us with valuable data about immersive learning:
